The next Open Championship will be held on the Carnoustie Championship Golf Course from Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd July 2007. St. Andrews has an extremely rich history, inhabited since the 6th century; it played a major part in Scotland's medieval history. Today it boasts Scotland's premier university and a rich cultural and community life.
