The next
Open Championship will be held on the Carnoustie Championship Golf
Course from Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd July 2007. The Open Championship
is arguably the greatest golf tournament in the world and will be
held here in Carnoustie for the seventh time. This giant links course
is among the toughest and most demanding of the great seaside championship
links in Britain.
The town
of Carnoustie lies ten miles to the East of the City of Dundee,
and is within a 25 mile drive of St. Andrews. Because Carnoustie
is a small town, a much greater range of accommodation can be offered
by neighbouring Dundee and St. Andrews etc.
