Voted one of Britain’s finest golf clubs according to the official website, Royal Birkdale hosted the Open in 2008 when Padraig Harrington won the competition.

The course has a unique layout with no two holes facing the same direction, making it difficult on the notoriously windy days, indeed the Royal Birkdale Golf Club is right on the coast in Southport in north west England.
