St. Andrews - the 2010 Open Venue
St. Andrews is a small town on the east coast of Fife, Scotland with sandy beaches in 2010 it will again be the venue for the Open Golf Championships.
It is known as the home of golf, in part because the Royal and Ancient Golf Club in St. Andrews, founded in 1754, exercises legislative authority over the game, and also because the famous links course is the most frequent venue for The Open.
The 2005 Open was held on the Old Course St Andrews. Tiger Woods claimed his second Open Championship coming ahead of Colin Montgomerie. More information available at the official St Andrews website.
Old Course Hotel Golf Resort and Spa (pictured right) is a five star hotel, expect to enjoy the depths of luxury. The view includes the Old Course and panoramic views across the sea.
