Turnberry - Open Golf Championships Venue
Turnberry is a village and golf resort on the Atlantic Coast of Scotland South Ayrshire. There are three links golf courses, a golf academy, a five-star hotel built in 1906, as well as lodge and cottage accommodation.
The Ailsa Course staged The Open Championship three times, in 1977, the course was the scene of a dual when Tom Watson claimed victory ahead of Jack Nicklaus. Greg Norman claimed his first major title at Turnberry in 1986, and Nick Price his second in 1994.
