Multiplayer Golf Online at World Golf Tour
Easily the best online golf game we have seen, don’t let registration put you off, it’s easy to get through with a great interface and you get to choose a male or a pretty female avatar, the graphics are excellent, features include camera pans, replays, single or multiplayer games, tournaments and community. The developers have paid great attention to detail, for example the equipment menu allows you to choose from a variety of drivers, woods, irons, wedges, putters and balls!
We played at the world famous Old Course at St. Andrews which includes taking a shot out of the the Road Hole Bunker on the 17th and the final 18th hole outside the clubhouse. Watch beautifuls views of the bay while others take their shots, the local town scapes, magnificent scenery and cloudscapes.
Next we travelled to Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina, to do a 9 hole multiplayer, that’s when things started to get interesting! Play the game at: www.wgt.com. Reviewed October 2009.
Fun! Fun! Minigolf for the Wii
released January 2009
Up to four players can play this funny golf game, there are a few different courses to play on, vibrant colours set in make believe pretty picture postcard garden settings, I’ve seen better graphics on some free online flash games, but then they aren’t Wii! Just like real mini golf, it’s best to play with a group. Fun! Fun! Minigolf, take aim, practise your swing then hold down A to take your shot. Controls are simple.

The Tiger Woods PGA Tour game series was around for a few years but not sure if still available and is probably one of the best known and most realistic golf games around. Created by EA Sports, Tiger Woods PGA Tour allows you to play the game with a variety of professional golfers on lots of real courses. Take the PGA Tour or the US Open Championship. Dynamic crowd reactions are one of the things that really gives this game some thrill, listen to the sighs as you miss those easy puts! Even real time weather available through a linkup with the Weather Channel!
